Deuteronomy makes interpretation of the law a fundamental way of constructing culture, and it does so by placing its interpretation in the foundational setting of God's revelation at the holy mountain. Согласно Второзаконию, основным способом построения еврейской культуры есть толкование закона, которое помещается в основополагающий контекст Божественного Откровения на горе Синай. Тора при этом является истолкованным образцом, а цепочка последующих толкований, утвержденных Моисеевой традицией, простирается бесконечно.
