Как говорят про действие наркотиков, алкоголя "меня отпустило", "меня отпускает" (не только с облегчением, но и с сожалением), или не волнуйся, "тебя скоро отпустит"?

Я бы сказала "I'm coming out of it", "you'll soon come out of it"...
Or just "it passed", "it's passing", "it will pass soon".

ну и зачем спорить с хорошими разговорными вариантами в пользу стилистически неудачных? тут как раз нужные оттенки, а у вас нейтральное все.

No, I won't be surprised, and if the question was how to say "проветрить мозги", for example, I might even suggest that. Or if it was about "протрезветь" I would suggest straight forward "to sober up" or "to get sober".
But is was what it was so I proposed what I did.
