Подскажите, пожалуйста, правильный перевод должности в трудовой книжке. 
Должность - cтарший преподаватель кафедры ХХХ. 

Примечание: 
Общая лестница такая: ассистент, старший преподаватель, доцент, профессор. 
Знаю, что в Америке assistant professor, associate professor, full professor. Не могу выбрать. :)

В очередной раз убедился, что в нашей стране профессия переводчик-синоним идиота. Потому что как можно так перевести - в голове не укладывается.
Возникает мысль - а как они всё остальное переводят, если не способны перевести даже название игрушки...

То ли бастовали, потому что им не платили в 49-м, то ли бастовали те, кто не salaried staff а имели интерес в бизнесе, то ли третий вариант? Что-то я не просекаю фишку этого сообщения.

Коллеги, как бы Турок произносил фамилию "Кутузов", имя "Михаил" и отчество "Илларионович"? Именно не если бы это пытался выговорить образованный турок, а если бы эти имена повторяли простые люди, не умеющие читать? (понимаю, что есть исторически вернуй ответ, - как турки называли К., но, не зная языка, не могу этот ответ найти).
