bludnyj-son.livejournal.comA girl describing her visit to Switzerland says: "They say Auf Wiedersehen. And they say Grüss Gott, too. That's rude, if you say it in English".
Why should Grüss Gott (literally greetings to or from god in German, which just means "hello") be rude in English? Does it sound like some other English phrase? I can't think of anything.
