Due to "transition" is most common to the majority of modern [software development] project management techniques. While "handing over" is good enough for a variety of contexts, "transition" is more specific and thus more competent to the, say, Web site or software application development projects. You know, using proper terms often equals to making yourself clear.

I am a sort of busy at the moment, so I can't write at length, but I'd like make the most important point: "transition" describes a change (usually slow and gradual change!). For example, Polish, Slovak or Lithiuanian economies are said to be "in transition". If you search the Web for the phrase "in transition," you will see that the term refers mostly to slow gradual change of an existing system. "Hand over" is much more specific and right to the point.

Вы, конечно, догадываетесь об этом и без меня, но чувствуется, что вежливый rydel слишком воспитан, чтобы сказать вам то, что следует сказать.
1) Ваш дешевый флейм здесь неуместен.
2) Прежде чем наезжать на кого попало, лучше
2а) подучите английский (на несколько ваших ошибок здесь уже указывали, есть и другие)
2б) научитесь либо сдерживаться, либо уважать собеседника (не знаю уж, чего вам там не хватило)
Поймите, очень не хочется, чтобы ru_translate погряз в перепалках. Пока здесь царит почти полная идиллия: юзеры обсуждают языковые проблемы, а не умственные способности друг друга или политическую ситуацию в Гренландии. Отнеситесь с пониманием, ладно?

If you'd like to impress others with your vast knowledge of English language, at least don't make beginner's mistakes. "Due to" must be followed by a noun. In this specific case - due to "transition"'s BEING most common etc.

мне как-то кажется (просто на слух) что эта фраза несколько абстрактна (в смысле может употребляться в общих рассуждениях о project management, но не для описания конкретного случая) и связана скорее с delivery date, которая вроде бы не дата "сдачи проекта", а дата на которую проект должен быть готов к этой самой сдаче. Потом начинается client acceptance - но это скорее приемка а не сдача :)

возможно конечно что я бред несу полный...
