We invest our ancestors with our predelictions in what seem to us primitive and unevolved forms.

Искомого слова в Лингве нет, в Мультитране тоже, в онлайновых словарях тоже. Однако, если судить по Гуглю и Тындексу, употребляется-то оно довольно часто.

UPDATE: Всем спасибо, разобрались. В книге очепятка :-)

Some people can't spell, that's a sad fact of life. Google shows that there are many of those.

As you can see, they use the word in the exact sense of the correct one, it's just misspelled.

Спасибо. Видимо, в книге тоже очепятка. Я не сразу поверила, потому что вообще книга издана хорошо, и на предыдущих 129 страницах опечаток не обнаружено :)

Судя по количеству упоминаний в Google, заблуждаются многие, и вполне могло оказаться, что автор и корректор входят в эту группу. :)
