I'd translate "Божественная сущность" either as "Godhead" (yes, there is such word, trust me), or "divine essence" (sounds better and seems to me more appropriate).

The use of "divine essence" to denote "Божественная сущность" is substantiated here.

Перст Божий по контексту может еще быть Divine Providence (если, например, кто-то усмотрел перст Божий в каком-то событии).
