Интересует, что значит подчеркнутое. Текст о шимпанзе, о том, что они тоже воюют друг с другом, как и люди. а вот дальше не очень понятно... Гугл мало помог... Спасибо.

Если люди и прочие приматы имеют такую общую черту, как насилие, почему бы не предположить, что понятие о душе тоже является общим для нас.

а можно слово sense игнорировать в этом контексте? насколько оно принципиально отличает смысл? можно ли просто сказать - душа у нас похожа.

Не, нельзя. Это именно "понятие о душе", несколько даже в религиозном смысле.

Если у наших родственников приматов сходное с человеческим понятие насилия, может быть у нас похожие представления и о душе. Может такое быть?
Мне тяжело далось сказать на русском, но подчеркнутое это чувство души, ощущение души. Как мне кажется.

спасибо. забыла сказать - там дальше про то, что шимпанзе сидят и смотрят томно на водопад... я подумала, и решила, что можно сказать - что душа у нас тоже похожа. может, это sense совсем не переводить? но для чего-то его употребили - не просто soul, a именно sense of soul? или это принципиальное различие?
