Вот такая фраза:

Да. А чем вас смутил предлог? Payment for -- имхо -- обычное дело.

Ah, I see. I wouldn't be confused if it were written like this:
In some cases you will also have payments to a government which result in a return of value to the company, or for a right or asset which is used in the business.

Ok. "Return of value" = "Return of capital" (ROC) = payments back to "capital owners", that exceed the growth (net income/taxable income) of a business.
