причем я сам английского не знаю, я проство взял список синонимов глагола intrigue :))))))

да, я понимаю, что это из словаря синонимов - потому что сам считаю их одними из самых полезных справочников, для выражения любых мыслей на английском, держу кучу (штук 5 разных), и пользуюсь постоянно

I'd say:

There is something (catchy, attractive, ..... (see the synonyms in a comment above) about it.

This one, in spite of being a bit basic as a game, somehow hooks you.
OR: strangely, you get hooked on it

It turns you on, however basic the game seems at a first glance

It keeps you nailed to your chair

OR: Try, and you'll find yourself taken with it, however basic the game appears at a first glance

Basic? Try it, and you'll swallow it ( or: fall for it) hook, line and sinker

it excites/thrills/stirs you/your curiosity

A gripping/compelling/stimulating/stirring/... product/...

So there are quite a few ways to express the idea. Take your pick
