Заклинило меня на выделенном предложении. То ли там чего-то не хватает, то ли у меня ступор: не могу понять к чему относится three. Буду весьма признательна тем, кто выскажет свое мнение.

Новая объединенная компания наладила выпуск трех типов установок: для железных дорог, для городского освещения, для горно-добывающей отрасли"
Что подразумевается под электроустановками - затрудняюсь. По смыслу это "готовые решения" - стандартизованные наборы оборудования, собранные в установку, продаваемые одним комплектом.

Они вообще везде подчеркивают, что у них комплексные решения, а не просто "электрогенераторы, трансформаторы, подстанции, электрические шкафы". Да и в приведенном тексте к вашим " электрогенераторам, трансформаторам, подстанциям, электрическим шкафам" прилагательное complete никак не приделаешь. Полные электрогенераторы? Забавно :))) Явно имеется в виду какая-то готовая система электроснабжения, подходящая для конкретного предприятия.

The new company had three MAIN INTERESTS, SUPPLYING ELECTRICITY to railway companies, lighting and mining.
As it stands the example doesn't make sense and never could.
