Что это за serialization numbering такое? Даже не уверен, связано ли это с шифрованием.

Serial Numbering
We have several options for serialization to suit your asset tracking needs. The metal casing of the
drive can be laser-etched with a serial number that uniquely identifies each drive. This external laser
etched serial number can be matched to the unique internal, USB device serial number as well.

Вообще, тупо нанесение серийного номера на саму флэшку, а также защита данных путем присвоения серийного номера этим самым данным.
