Может дурацкий вопрос (заранее стыжусь), но не могу найти на него ответ. Шапка документа выглядит примерно так, как написано внизу (в Сети много похожих документов). Вопрос: что такое SCRANTON STANDBY? SCRANTON - это город Скрентон (или Скрантон), а что такое STANDBY в данном случае? Так и писать "Скрентон стендбай"? Что это? Какое-нибудь срентоновское резервное отделение Бэнк оф Америка? Или это STANDBY TRADE OPERATIONS - что-то типа "Операции с резервными аккредитивами и коммерческие операции"?

Хм, что-нибудь типа "Скрэнтон Резерв". Потому что длиннее будет явно некомильфо (вроде "Отделение Банка Америки по работе с резервами в Скрэнтоне"). О как.

Standby LCs

A standby LC is an assurance of the performance of the client (applicant) to a beneficiary. Bank of America Merrill Lynch issues standby LCs for its clients (individuals, corporations or correspondent banks).
The standby LC substitutes the credit standing of Bank of America Merrill Lynch for that of our client. Generally, standby LCs are payable against the presentation of a draft and a statement from the beneficiary stating that our client, the applicant of the standby LC, has defaulted under the terms of a specific underlying agreement.

конечно это Standby Trade Operations - подразделение банка, которое работает с резервными аккредитивами (их у BoA три, одно расположено в Скрантоне https://corp.bankofamerica.com/documents/16303/74434/Global_Trade_Services_Map.pdf)
