Я остановилась на варианте Wait! — ради краткости и чтобы фраза оставалась неизменной во всех трех ситуациях, как в оригинале.

More than that, the original -- at least to me -- has meanings beyond 'Hold on!'. It is clear that she has told the family those things a hundred times before, she is tired and irritated. Probably this can not be put in a single exclamation in English and should be conveyed non-verbally.
