Помогите придумать перевод русскому "лишить (террористов) ореола мученика". Вообще какие еще похожие клише могут подойти на английском? Ну типа: свергнуть с пьедестала, развенчать миф. Я хочу набрать побольше, потому что очень уж часто они используются при разговорах о терроризме

Thanks! That's what I ended up writing.
As for the cliches I get a lot of them at where I work. I was actually talking about this very phrase and synonymous ways of expressing it. Have you got any ideas?
