Might any kind soul explain the difference between газонаполнительным and газозаправочным. I have a text that considers these to be different functions.

i don't see any difference
probably, "газозаправочный" can be said about gas station, and "газонаполнительный" is more universal

1) газонаполнительный - any containers, but mainly not such as in 2
2) газозаправочный - mainly fuel tanks of vehicles or other capacities installed on cars, vessels, etc.

"Наполнять" - fill (a container or sth that can be used as a container) with sth.
"Заправлять" - fill (e. g. a car, fuel tank etc.) with sth used as fuel.

"заправка" подразумевает горючее.

Автомобиль заправили бензином. Бидон наполнили молоком.
