текст про то, как женщина в одиночку пересекала океан на весельной лодке. Посреди океана у нее сломались весла, и дальше она пишет

So I found a boat hook and my trusty duct tape and splintered the boat hook to the oars to reinforce it. Then, when that gave out, I sawed the wheel axles off my spare rowing seat and used those. And when those gave out, I cannibalized one of the broken oars.

не очень понятно, что именно она сделала.

Никак не могу понять, что такое "green banded". Может кто-то знает? Допущена к тендеру, внесена в шорт-лист - что там еще может быть?

Вдруг кто-нибудь видел перевод части LV поэмы Теннисона "In Memoriam A H H"? Я гуглила долго, но сложилось впечатление, что эту часть никто не переводил. Собственно, мне нужна только одна строчка: I stretch lame hands of faith, and grope

Сама часть звучит так:
The wish, that of the living whole

 перевожу программу о танцах.
Интересует, есть ли устоявшийся перевод стиля "locking" (или так и будет "локинг"?), а также основных движений этого стиля: the lock, wrist twirl, turning hats, the point  и knee drops.

А также танцевальный элемент\техника isolations.
