А как лучше перевести пословицу «Путь к Храму лежит через базар»?

“The path to the Temple goes across the marketplace” — вариант? Может быть есть устойчивое выражение?

Уважаемые коллеги,
туплю над выделенным выражением. Что имеется в виду, понятно, даже целая статья в вики есть про это, а вот как это выразить по-русски, чтобы не увязнуть в длиннотах, не понимаю.
