Дорогие друзья,
поделитесь, пожалуйста, опытом, где вы сверяетесь с произношением имен и фамилий всяких исторических личностей? У меня периодически возникают вопросы. Нахожу, конечно, но в муках. :) Нужна именно транскрипция - ибо звук пока не работает. Посоветуйте ресурсы, пожалуйста. Заранее, thanks!

Электронные словари предлагают "advisor", но меня как-то коробит, потому что мне кажется, что такого термина в использовании я не видела. Или все же словари правы?

The article investigates historical writing of Post-Soviet Kazakhstan in the proces of construction of the independent state. The author suggests that the outcome of the break up of the USSR forced Historians of Kazakhstan to reasses the National History and its relationship to the Russian imperial State and to the Soviet legasy. The contemporary historiography of Kazakhstan criticizes the Russian and the Soviet mainstream historiography for ignoring facts of the National History. But at the same time elaboration of new standards of historical writing is accompanied by creation of new stereotypes and myths (Russian colonialism). The author concludes that although Kazakhstan's historical writing is informed by politics and the goals of nation-building it can provide valuable isigns about the National History.

At the same time, elaboration of new standards of historical writing is accompanied by creation of new stereotypes and myths (for instance the so-called "Russian colonialism"). The author concludes that although Kazakhstan's historical writings are influenced by the political agenda of nation building, these writings can provide valuable insights into national history.

Abstract This is an essay about the territorial enclosure of urban neighbourhoods It develops the argument that the shared public realms that became regarded as normal in the cities of the 20th century are inherently unstable. More particularly, they are an unstable form of со-Ownership domain (condominium). In many different cultures and economies new forms of local territorial governance are emerging to make joint consumption more sustainable. Most of the essay is devoted to exploring this evolutionary argument and is theoretically oriented and illustrated with historical examples. We end with illustrations of urban enclosure from China, a country that has had to discover almost overnight new forms of organisational, institutional and spatial order.
