Хотя, возможно, еще рано говорить, что для General Electrics трудные времена уже закончились , финансовые результаты компании за второй квартал свидетельствуют о том, что худшее может оказаться позади по истечении следующего трудного квартала.

Что есть se foutre la gueule en bas? Nous nous sommes foutu la gueule en bas; Je me suis foutu la gueule en bas.
В Робере есть foutre sur la gueule 'дать в морду', это кажется тоже что-то близкое, но всё же не совсем то.

Я не понимаю, что это за журналы; по контексту - что-то вроде бульварных изданий, из тех, что не делают чести в данном случае экзистенциальному подходу. Но причем тут national?
